about weathergirl

Raised near Melbourne, Australia on great grandfathers large sheep station then on my mother’s Arabian Horse Stud.  Outdoors. Lots of sunburn. Studied classical singing and the electronic organ. I liked the foot pedal.  And moving all limbs at once. Was writing songs already when I was 8. That was my thing.  Songwriting and singing.  I auditioned for NIDA at 17 and they told me to travel.  ‘Life Experience is the greatest teacher'.  After a stint as a cadet journalist I headed to Europe.  Just my guitar and me.  I sang in the streets then was asked to audition for a musical in Italy.  I got one of the lead parts  and  it packed houses in Rome for  over a year before we toured.  I  saw amazing places. Then I did other shows and recorded. Then  made art on the pavements then sang some more. Did some telly. Went  to live in Japan. Started a rock band. Made some money. Sang some more.  Went on telly.  Got  a residency at a converted funeral parlour in Sydney. Pushed the envelope. Sang some more. Got a deal with Warner. Pushed the envelope.  Moved to LA. Lost the envelope.  Moved to New York. Opened an envelope.
